Mexico,City, April 29th, 2020.<\/p>\n

On April 28, 2020, the Mexican National Fund to Promote Tourism (FONATUR, for its acronym in Spanish) announced the receipt of 16 economic proposals for the construction of the third section of the Mayan Railroad project to be developed throughout the Yucat\u00e1n Peninsula.<\/p>\n

The third section of the project will comprise a route of approximately 172 Km running from Calkin\u00ed (Campeche) – up to Izamal (Yucat\u00e1n).<\/p>\n

Proposals filed on April 28, 2020 will be analyzed by FONATUR under a points and percentage criteria. Technical and economic proposals will have, each, a value of 50 points.<\/p>\n

With this project Mexican President seeks to promote and strengthen the development of the southeast Mexican region since such project would include the Mexican States of Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucat\u00e1n and Quintana Roo.<\/p>\n
