{"id":12840,"date":"2020-07-02T18:12:05","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T18:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.basham.com.mx\/?p=12840"},"modified":"2020-07-02T18:12:05","modified_gmt":"2020-07-02T18:12:05","slug":"suspension-of-certain-deadlines-by-the-federal-economic-competition-commission-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basham.com.mx\/en\/suspension-of-certain-deadlines-by-the-federal-economic-competition-commission-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN DEADLINES BY THE FEDERAL ECONOMIC COMPETITION COMMISSION."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Mexico City, July 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On June 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, the Federal Economic Competition Commission (\u201cFECC) issued a sixth general resolution (the \u201cSixth Suspension\u201d) that extends the previous suspension of filing deadlines for certain proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission decided that all deadlines would be suspended from July 1 through 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, resuming on July 13<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, except for the specific proceedings detailed set forth below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-merger notifications and opinions or resolutions in the granting of licenses, concessions, permits and other similar proceedings.<\/li>\n<li>Requests for formal opinions under the Federal Economic Competition Law (\u201cFECL\u201d) Articles 104-109\u201d).<\/li>\n<li>General orientation proceedings under FECL Article 110.<\/li>\n<li>Formal opinions under FECL Article 12, sections XII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVIII.<\/li>\n<li>Public consultation under FECL Article 138 and General Regulation Article 191.<\/li>\n<li>The Immunity and Leniency Proceeding. under FECL Article 103<\/li>\n<li>The fine reduction related to commitments for abuse of dominance cases or illegal mergers proceeding under FECL Articles 100-102.<\/li>\n<li>The stage after the conclusion of investigations of monopolistic practices or illegal mergers, under FECL Article 78.<\/li>\n<li>The procedure and formalities necessary to process additional documentary evidence, to the extent such evidence is limited to filing of documents.<\/li>\n<li>The deadlines to file pleadings in incidents and trial-like proceedings, as well as the issuance of the resolution of closure of the file.<\/li>\n<li>The proceedings to carry out the oral hearing provided for in article 83, section VI of the FECL.<\/li>\n<li>The deadline for the Board of Commissioners to issue a resolution in any proceeding, provided that the file is already completed, and until the notification of the corresponding resolution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The suspension of deadlines does not imply labor suspension of the FECC staff, who continue working remotely.
