{"id":13528,"date":"2021-01-15T23:55:09","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T23:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.basham.com.mx\/?p=13528"},"modified":"2021-01-15T23:55:09","modified_gmt":"2021-01-15T23:55:09","slug":"suspension-of-certain-deadlines-in-certain-proceedings-by-the-federal-economic-competition-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basham.com.mx\/en\/suspension-of-certain-deadlines-in-certain-proceedings-by-the-federal-economic-competition-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN DEADLINES IN CERTAIN PROCEEDINGS BY THE FEDERAL ECONOMIC COMPETITION COMMISSION."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Mexico City, January 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On January 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021, the Federal Economic Competition Commission (\u201cCommission\u201d) issued an eighth general resolution that suspends deadlines for certain proceedings (the \u00abEighth Suspension\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Commission\u2019s Board decided that from January 18<sup>th<\/sup> through 29<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021 the Commission will be working as usual, but all deadlines would be suspended except for the specific procedures detailed below; therefore, deadlines will resume on February 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2021:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Merger notice proceedings and opinions related to licenses, concessions, permits and similar items.<\/li>\n<li>Requests for formal opinion under FECL Articles 104-109<\/li>\n<li>General orientation under FECL Article 110<\/li>\n<li>Formal opinions under FECL Article 12, sections XII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVIII.<\/li>\n<li>Public consultation under FECL Article 138.<\/li>\n<li>Penalty reduction program (Immunity Program) under FECL Article 103<\/li>\n<li>Fine reduction or discharge program under FECL Articles 100-102 related to commitments for abuse of dominance cases or illegal mergers.<\/li>\n<li>Stage after the conclusion of investigations of anticompetitive practices or illegal mergers, under FECL Article 78 .<\/li>\n<li>Stage after the conclusion of the investigations carried out in terms of Articles 94 and 96 of the FECL.<\/li>\n<li>The procedure and formalities necessary to provide additional evidence, to the extent such evidence is limited to filing of documents.<\/li>\n<li>In ancillary or trial proceedings, deadlines to file closing written arguments, as well as the resolution that declares the file completed.<\/li>\n<li>The deadlines for the Board of Commissioners to issue a resolution in any procedure, provided that the file is already completed, until the notification of the final resolution.
