Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C. (\u201cBasham\u201d) has provided comprehensive legal advisory services to Grupo Carso (\u201cCarso\u201d) in the acquisition of an additional 30.10% interest in Talos Mexico, a subsidiary of Talos Energy (\u201cTalos\u201d), which holds a 17.4% stake in the Zama Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through this transaction, Grupo Carso continues to consolidate its participation in Mexico\u2019s hydrocarbon extraction sector, increasing its stake in the Zama Field and building on the acquisition of Petrobal completed in the second quarter of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The closing of this transaction remains subject to approval by Mexico’s Antitrust Commission (\u201cCOFECE\u201d) and regulatory authorizations from the National Hydrocarbons Commission (\u201cCNH\u201d). Carso and Talos are actively working with regulatory authorities to secure all necessary permits for closing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
