{"id":26123,"date":"2025-03-10T17:25:07","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T17:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basham.com.mx\/?p=26123"},"modified":"2025-03-12T23:26:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T23:26:11","slug":"transparency-and-personal-data-protection-bill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basham.com.mx\/en\/transparency-and-personal-data-protection-bill\/","title":{"rendered":"Transparency and Personal Data Protection Bill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\">Mexico City, at March 7, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 20, 2025, the President of the Mexican Republic submitted to the Senate a Legislative initiative accompanied by a draft decree passing the General Law of Transparency and Access to Public Information (<em>Ley General de Transparencia y Acceso a la Informaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica<\/em>), the General Law of Personal Data Protection in the Possession of Obligated Parties (<em>Ley General de Protecci\u00f3n de Datos Personales en Posesi\u00f3n de Sujetos Obligados<\/em>) and the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (<em>Ley Federal de Protecci\u00f3n de Datos Personales en Posesi\u00f3n de los Particulares<\/em>) (the \"<strong><u>LFPDPPP<\/u><\/strong>\u201d) and several provisions are amended in the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration (<em>Ley Org\u00e1nica de la Administraci\u00f3n P\u00fablica Federal<\/em>) (the \"<strong><u>Bill<\/u><\/strong>\u201d). Additionally, <strong>on March 4, 2025<\/strong>, the Plenary session of the Mexican Senate, with 71 votes in favor and 21 votes against, approved the resolution by which the secondary legislation is aligned to set forth a model of organic simplification in transparency, access to public information and protection of personal data.
