Leading Mexican law firm Basham, Ringe y Correa is pleased to announce the expansion of its Tax Practice with the addition of Ram\u00f3n de la Torre as a partner in its Mexico City office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ram\u00f3n\u2019s practice focuses on tax controversy and litigation, including international taxation, transfer pricing, as well as strategic tax planning for complex cross-border transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ram\u00f3n earned his Law Degree with honors from the Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM), holds a master\u2019s degree in taxation from Universidad Panamericana, and an LL.M. in International Taxation from New York University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His addition is a significant step in the continued growth of Basham\u2019s top-tier Tax Practice, known for its work in high-stakes, multijurisdictional tax matters, tax litigation, and wealth management. Basham is widely known in the legal market for its strong M&A and finance practices, in addition to its Intellectual Property, competition, litigation and labour offerings. Ram\u00f3n joins Basham from Creel, Garc\u00eda-Cu\u00e9llar, Aiza y Enr\u00edquez, S.C. His arrival follows other strategic recent hires: Carlos Mart\u00ednez Betanzos, who joined as partner to lead the Arbitration and Civil and Commercial Litigation practices, as well as the addition of Mariana Gonz\u00e1lez Vargas as a partner in the Intellectual Property practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
