Leading Mexican law firm Basham, Ringe y Correa is pleased to announce the expansion of its Banking & Finance practice with the addition of Mariana Campos Clasing as Counsel in its Mexico City office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariana is a corporate and finance lawyer with more than twenty years of experience advising financial institutions, issuers, and corporates on project and structured financings, refinancings, cross-border restructurings (including Mexican concurso mercantil and U.S. Chapter 11\/DIP), capital markets transactions, and regulatory matters involving derivatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMariana brings a wealth of experience acting as financial counsel on sophisticated financing transactions,\u201d said Eduardo Kleinberg, Executive Partner at Basham. \u201cHer arrival further strengthens our Banking & Finance offering and reinforces Basham\u2019s position as a market leader.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariana earned her law degree with honors from Universidad Iberoamericana and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, where she received the Dean\u2019s Graduate Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her addition marks a significant step in the continued growth of Basham\u2019s Banking & Finance practice, known for its work in high-stakes, multijurisdictional finance matters. Basham is widely recognized for its strong M&A and finance capabilities, as well as its intellectual property, antitrust\/competition, tax, litigation, and labor practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariana joins Basham from Cuatrecasas, S.C., and previously served as Head of Legal at Barclays Bank Mexico. Earlier in her career she worked in New York as a Foreign Associate at Cleary Gottlieb where she specialized on Latin America\u2013focused capital markets and M&A. Her arrival follows other recent strategic hires: Ram\u00f3n de la Torre, who joined as partner in the Tax practice; Carlos Mart\u00ednez Betanzos, who joined as partner to lead the Arbitration and Civil and Commercial Litigation practices; and Mariana Gonz\u00e1lez Vargas, who joined as partner in the Intellectual Property practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
