They may now obtain an electronic visa through the Electronic Authorization System (SAE), also known as the e-Visa, without the need for a consular appointment or a physical visa stamp in their passport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reactivation of the Electronic Authorization System (SAE) renders void the scheme implemented in 2022, which required Brazilian nationals to obtain a visa stamp in their passport prior to traveling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The e-Visa application is submitted online and requires uploading the following documents to the system:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u2022 Image of a valid passport<br>\u2022 Travel itinerary<br>\u2022 Airline ticket showing departure from Mexico<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In most cases, authorization is issued within a short timeframe, usually in less than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the e-Visa has been issued, and prior to boarding the flight to Mexico, airlines will verify approval of the electronic authorization through the QR code embedded in the e-Visa in order to allow the holder to board the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Physical visas issued to Brazilian nationals before February 5, 2026, will remain valid until the expiration date indicated on the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is important to note that the e-Visa applies only to short stays (less than 180 days) and does not replace other types of visas.
