Basham, Ringe y Correa acted as legal counsel to Grupo Carso, through Zamajal, S.A. de C.V. (\u201cZamajal\u201d), in connection with the acquisition of an additional 30.10% equity interest in Talos Energy M\u00e9xico 7, S. de R.L. de C.V. (\u201cTalos M\u00e9xico\u201d), the Mexican subsidiary of Talos Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talos M\u00e9xico holds a 17.4% interest in the Zama oil field, one of Mexico\u2019s most significant offshore discoveries in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This transaction builds upon Grupo Carso\u2019s 2024 acquisition of a 49.9% interest in Talos M\u00e9xico. Following the completion of this transaction, Grupo Carso has increased its total ownership stake in Talos M\u00e9xico to 80%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transaction was completed following the receipt of all required corporate and regulatory approvals in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
