Basham promoted Francisco Matus (35) from the Tax practice, Eduardo Castañeda (37) from the IP practice, Pedro Said (37) from the Banking and Finance practice and José Massas (39) from the Dispute Resolution practice.

Francisco Matus has been with the firm for over 10 years. His practice focuses on tax planning, consulting, and tax strategy, both nationally and internationally, including corporate and individual taxation, due diligence, corporate reorganizations, mergers, spin-offs and acquisitions, among others. He has been recognized and ranked by international publications such as Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers.
Eduardo Castañeda has been with the firm for over 18 years. His practice focuses on IP work, specifically in litigation before the administrative authorities and judicial courts (Federal Court of Tax and Administrative Justice, District Courts, Circuit Courts and Supreme Court of the Nation). He also frequently litigates in domain names matters before WIPO.
Pedro Said has been with the firm for over 6 years. His practice focuses on national and international transactions, including structuring and reorganizing debt, securitizations, factoring, financial leasing, financing, guarantees and security interests, as well as in capital markets, fintech, mergers and acquisitions, incorporations, and other finance and corporate transactions. He has been recognized and ranked by Who’s Who Legal.
Jose Massas has been with the firm for over 13 years. His practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation and arbitration as well as handling proceedings with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency.
