Mexico City, May 2026 – As part of its diversity, inclusion, and professional networking initiatives, Basham, Ringe y Correa hosted a community-building event on May 2 as part of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and its LGBTTI+ network.

INTA is a global association of professionals and organizations dedicated to trademarks and intellectual property, promoting collaboration, diversity, and inclusion across the international legal and business communities.

The event was held at the offices of Keltie, the host firm for this edition, and brought together more than 70 professionals from the legal and business sectors.

The featured guest speaker was Laila El-Metoui, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant at myGwork, who shared insights on the importance of building and strengthening professional networks, creating meaningful connections, and fostering more inclusive and collaborative communities.

«Community is a support network, and organizations that truly understand this are those where people choose to stay, contribute, and bring their authentic selves to work without feeling they must leave part of who they are behind,» said Laila El-Metoui, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant at myGwork.

During her presentation, Laila emphasized that both professional and personal growth are closely linked to the ability to build authentic relationships and support networks that foster representation and a sense of belonging in the workplace.

«At Basham, we believe that building community is essential to fostering more diverse, inclusive, and people-centered workplaces. Events like this allow us to create meaningful connections and strengthen support networks both within and beyond the legal profession,» said Eduardo Castañeda.

Through initiatives such as this, Basham reaffirms its commitment to promoting more diverse, inclusive, and open environments for dialogue by creating spaces that encourage visibility, collaboration, and the development of strong professional communities.
