Basham, Ringe y Correa, one of Mexico’s leading full-service law firms, announces the expansion of its Corporate M&A practice with the addition of Carlos Eduardo Gómez González as Partner in the firm’s Mexico City office.
Carlos Eduardo Gómez González is an attorney specializing in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and structured finance, with more than fifteen years of experience. Throughout his career, he has advised institutional investors, financial institutions, multinational companies, and private equity funds on domestic and cross-border transactions.
His corporate practice includes advising on acquisitions, investments, and strategic alliances across sectors such as insurance, education, consumer goods, and real estate. He has also participated in the formation of joint ventures and in significant acquisitions both within and outside Mexico. In the financing arena, Carlos has advised on syndicated financings, debt issuances, and other complex structures, including transactions conducted under Rule 144A and Regulation S in the United States. He has represented both lenders and borrowers in the structuring of various credit facilities.

Carlos holds a law degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey, an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialization in Business Law and is currently the Chairman of the Finance and Securities Commission of the Mexican Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Counsel at Garrigues and was previously part of Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes.
