The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) published today in the Official Gazette of the Federation, the Improvement Program for the Payment of Subsidies.

With this program, entitled workers will be able to request and obtain from the IMSS the payment of temporary disability benefits for occupational hazards, general illness and maternity, in their bank account, through the use of the Advanced Electronic Signature issued by the Tax Administration Service (SAT) or CURP code.
Workers may access the IMSS electronic portal with the interoperable application for the payment of these subsidies. Afterwards, they must go to the economic benefits unit of the corresponding Administrative Subdelegation to formalize their application.
We consider the implementation of this program to be convenient for workers, since it avoids irregularities in the issuance of payments to different people.
