Mexico City, December 10th, 2020.
As a complement to our yesterday informative note, the Mexican Senate unanimously approved, in general and in particular, the bill (previously prepared and presented by the Chamber of Deputies) to amend Article 311 of the Federal Labor Law that also adds a new Chapter XII Bis related to telework.
The bill has been sent to the President of Mexico who will have 30 days starting from reception date for comments and observations. He will then have ten (10) calendar days to enact and publish the bill.
Thereafter, the president of the chamber of origin (Senate) will order its publication in the Federation’s Official Gazette within ten (10) calendar days.
