As a response its client’s needs, the firm decided to strength its Intellectual Property Practice Group. As a result Manuel Guerra Zamarro, former Director-General of the National Institute of Copyright (INDAUTOR) for 12 years, joined the firm as senior Associate and new leader of the Entertainment Law practice area.

Manuel has more than 29 years of professional experience related to intellectual property matters such as copyright, entertainment law, trademark, patents, new technologies, copyright and IP litigation. He had the opportunity to act as representative of the Mexican Government in several international assemblies on intellectual property organized by the United Nations Organization (ONU), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and some others.

Manuel Guerra graduated from Anahuac University and completed his Phd in law at the Complutense University of Madrid in agreement with Anahuac University. Former President of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR), former president at different committees of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), active promoter of the International Treaty of Beijing and Marrakech,  coordinator of the copyright committee of the Intellectual Property Mexican Bar Association (BMA), Member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of the Intellectual Property (AMPPI), and co-founder of the Mexican Copyright Academy (AMDA); law professor of «copyright and industrial property» undergraduate and MBA from Anahuac University.
