Mexico City, June 12, 2023.

On June 6, the Tax Administration Service issued a statement informing that 923 civil organizations and trusts authorized to receive ISR-deductible donations were identified as having failed to comply with the tax obligation to file the "Informative declaration to guarantee the transparency of assets, as well as the use and destination of donations received and activities aimed at influencing legislation" corresponding to fiscal year 2022, the deadline for filing being May 31.

Likewise, it informs that non-compliance with this obligation constitutes an infraction to the tax provisions, which is punishable with an updated fine in terms of the Federal Tax Code, in the amount of 102 thousand 60 pesos.

Based on the foregoing, it is important that civil organizations and trusts authorized to receive income tax deductible donations that have not filed the transparency declaration file it as soon as possible, in order to avoid fines from the tax authority.
