Mexico City, July 11, 2022.
Due to the high spread of the COVID-19 virus in its fifth peak, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reactivated the "Permiso COVID-4.0" program to deal with cases of this disease that may be presented by eligible workers.
The "COVID-4.0 Leave" can be obtained by workers through the digital platform (www.imss.gob.mx) or mobile device application, which will be comparable to general sick leave for 5 days.
In this way, during this period of high contagion, workers are prevented from going to the clinics to obtain disability benefits for this illness. Likewise, in the Institute's electronic portal, the insured will be able to register their bank account where the economic subsidy corresponding to this special leave will be deposited.
