EXPERIENCE

Arely serves as Coordinator of the Basham Foundation and leads the firm’s pro bono practice. In this role, she designs and implements the Foundation’s social responsibility strategy, coordinates relationships with foundations, civil society organizations, government authorities, and beneficiaries, and oversees the development of social impact projects and initiatives aligned with the firm’s values.

Under her leadership, Basham’s pro bono practice has strengthened its national and international profile, earning recognitions such as the Thomson Reuters Pro Bono Leading Light Award and the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation Award in 2024 and 2025. She also participated in the publication of the Competition Law Guide: Practical Cases, developed in collaboration with the Mexican Pro Bono Center (Centro Mexicano Pro Bono).

Prior to joining the firm, Arely held positions at various public sector institutions, including the Federal Judiciary, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, and the Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE). In these roles, she assumed technical and legal responsibilities that enabled her to develop extensive experience in public and constitutional law.
