PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Consultant for Basham in corporate and transportation law in the Mexico City office. His professional practice of more than 20 years has focused on corporate advice to national and international clients, among them in the air transportation, cargo and passenger transportation by land as well as telecommunications, some of them leaders in their markets and from the corporate, financial and regulatory perspective. He has participated in major transactions of acquisition of companies in Mexico as well as leading counsel in consortiums that have participated in key infrastructure projects in Mexico. In addition, he has advised major international companies on complex start-up cases in Mexico and involved his knowledge and experience in acute regulatory and antitrust issues. He has lectured in a number of forums in Mexico, the United States and Europe on a variety of corporate and transportation law topics, among others. Ricardo has been recognized as a leading corporate lawyer in the publication Chambers and Partners (London).

ASSOCIATIONS

He has been a member of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers (ANADE), "The Transportation Lawyers Association" (USA), "The American Bar Association" (USA), The Louisiana State Bar association (approved the bar in 1996 and therefore authorized to practice before courts of the State of Louisiana, U.S.A.) among others. He acted as Executive Secretary of the Bomchil Group (2006-2014), a group of prominent law firms in Latin America.

EDUCATION

Graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in 1989 with honors. He obtained a Master's degree in Comparative Law and International Finance from Tulane (scholarship from said university for academic merit), and also teaches at the Universidad Panamericana in the United States of America in the area of corporate law. He has published several articles on transportation law published by the "Mexico-U.S. Bar Association" and "The Transporation Lawyers Association" in the U.S.A.
