PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mario Uribe is an experienced attorney who has represented leading national and international clients in federal and state criminal proceedings. He has acted as both a defense attorney and a legal advisor to victims in highly complex cases.

His practice is distinguished for innovative litigation strategies, particularly supported by special legislation—including health, environmental, and intellectual property matters—which allow him to offer effective, comprehensive, and results-oriented solutions for his clients.

He also advises on the design and implementation of criminal compliance and money laundering prevention programs, with a focus on risk management.

In terms of enforcing his clients' IP rights, Mario Uribe has coordinated and supervised complex operations, achieving goals that include more than 40 raids in a single year, and the seizure and destruction of illegal merchandise valued at tens of millions of dollars.

Among his most notable achievements is having taken intellectual property crime cases to a new level, enabling his clients to obtain fair compensation for damages, including the first federal criminal ruling that ordered the payment of legal costs, setting an important precedent in this area.

  • He defended a luxury goods company that was investigated for alleged trademark counterfeiting, preventing it from paying the compensation demanded of it for more than 50 million pesos.
  • He defended the CEO and operations manager of a customs agency against charges of fraud involving more than 20 million pesos.

Mario Uribe led the criminal law team at a prominent firm specializing in intellectual property with offices in Mexico and Spain.
