Mexico City, April 29th, 2020.
With the aim of contributing to the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (MIIP) published today, a governmental agreement that extends the suspension of all terms and deadlines from March 24, 2020 to May 30, 2020 in all processes and procedures carried out before said Institute. Therefore, all terms that expire during the mentioned period will be automatically extended to June 1, 2020.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the reception of documents at the MIIP will be carried out online for all new applications and promotions of electronic files, having as reception date June 1, 2020.
