Mariana Vargas from Intellectual Property and Gerson Vaca from Corporate M&A were promoted in Mexico City´s office, while Roberto Serralde from Foreign Trade and Rodrigo Gardner from Corporate M&A were promoted in Monterrey´s office.

Mariana Vargas focuses her professional practice in Intellectual Property. She currently participates in the development of strategies for the protection of intellectual property rights, especially trademarks, as well as in audits derived from mergers and acquisitions projects of national and international companies. She has been recognized by Legal 500, Managing IP, and IFLR 100 as Rising Star. She actively participates in INTA, AMPPI, and Abogadas MX.
Gerson Vaca currently heads the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) group within the firm and focuses his career on mergers and acquisitions, real estate, transactional, and sustainability. His professional practice has been developed mainly in the planning and implementation of corporate restructuring, acquisition and sale of companies, implementation of vehicles for foreign investors, joint ventures, and corporate governance strategies.
Roberto Serralde has developed his professional practice in consultancy on regulatory compliance of foreign trade and customs law, including tax-customs litigation, tariff classification, customs valuation, the maquila industry, and other issues related to the application of Free Trade Agreements. He has been recognized by Legal 500 as a “Recommended Lawyer”, as well as by World Tax (International Tax Review). He received the National Export Award, awarded by the Ministry of Economy, and delivered by the President of Mexico.
Rodrigo Gardner focuses on international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, contracts, corporate, and real estate. He has advised dozens of multinational companies in the establishment and operation of their businesses in Mexico. Master’s in international business law from Boston University, he actively participates in events of national and international professional associations. His academic experience includes teaching undergraduate and graduate programs at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, among others.
