Mexico City, March 24th, 2020.
In order to contribute to the prevention of the spread the COVID-19 virus, the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (MIIP) published yesterday an official notice by which all deadlines and time limits are suspended from March 24, 2020 to April 19, 2020 in all the processes and procedures that are carried out before the MIIP. Therefore, all deadlines expiring within such period will be automatically extended until April 20, 2020.
The MIIP will continue operating with a reduction of personnel and its facilities will remain open to the public, with limited access, until further notice. The reception of documents will also continue; however, all documents and applications filed between March 24, 2020 and April 19, 2020 will be received with a date of April 20, 2020.
