On Thursday, December 28, 2023, a decree was published in the Federal Official Gazette amending, abolishing, and adding various provisions to the Securities Market Law and the Investment Funds Law, which became effective on December 29, 2023.

In summary, these amendments will benefit the Mexican economy by allowing individuals and Small and Medium Companies to actively participate in the stock market and various investment funds securely. The introduction of new investment forms, such as hedge funds, is expected to contribute positively to the Mexican Stock Market.
It is important to note that the CNBV must issue the general provisions mentioned in the decree, with special emphasis on the changes made to both laws. We will be attentive to such publications for further information on this matter.
