PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Norberto A. Ruiz is a prominent tax lawyer and partner in the tax area of the Mexico City office since 2013. His practice has specialized in tax controversy and litigation, providing strategic advice to clients from various sectors, such as investment funds, mining companies, pharmaceuticals, automotive industry, and consumer product companies.
His practice includes advising clients on transactions with tax effects, representing their interests before the tax authorities in audits, conclusive agreements, administrative appeals and trials before state and federal courts, including the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice.
RECOGNITIONS
In recognition of his outstanding performance, Norberto was awarded in 2023 with the "Rising Star of the Year" award by the Legal 500 ranking, as well as recognized as a rising star by the publication Leaders Guide. These recognitions highlight his talent and dedication to obtaining outstanding results in every case.

In addition to his legal practice, Norberto is a professor in the Tax Controversy and Litigation diploma program at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He is also a recurring author in the specialized tax magazine "Punto Finos" of Thomson Reuters and other media, demonstrating his commitment to updating and deep knowledge of the tax field.

EDUCATION
He obtained his law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tec de Mty.) in 2011, graduating with one of the best grades of his generation. He continued his academic training with a master’s degree in Tax Law from Universidad Panamericana, graduating with honors.
